It's a tradition at LE&C for our team to join the fantastic team at Cutler Salons for a show or two at New York Fashion Week. This year, it was a terrific chance for a whole new group of folks to experience the City and get an up close look at editorial work during the biggest fashion event of the season. Here's a few pictorial highlights from team LEC's big weekend in the Big Apple!
We're calling this one "6:00am call time comes early". Our team were total champs getting all set up for the show at Clarkson Skylight in West Soho.
For the Parson's MFA show (THE show for emerging designers each season), the artistic decision was made for a simple, slicked back style - and a single indentation just below the shoulder. While styles like this seem simple, the trick is making it look the same on every hair type and texture. Business cards and clips are used to keep the indentation in its intended place instead of above the ear where it's clipped to keep it in place while makeup is applied.
The final show, with lead Rodney Cutler, went off without a HITCH. All 48 models (boys and girls) looked amazing...and the clothes were super cool and inventive.
All work and no play makes for a VERY dull weekend - so here are some highlights of post-show antics in and around New York City. Special thanks to the CONRAD FIDA for the terrific rooftop!
